Troops 10618 and 10168 Go to a Hostel
Girl Scout Junior Troop 10168 and Girl Scout Brownie troop 10618 from Petaluma wanted to share with you our trip to the Marin Headlands Hostel on November 14-15.
The girls arrived on Friday night and got settled in their rooms. They then got together and shared some songs, made banana boats for dessert and traded swaps with each other. The Juniors made Hermy the Worm swaps and the Brownies made mini sit upons. They met another Brownie troop from San Leandro. The girls headed to bed for a good night's rest before heading out for the Discover and Explore activity trip put on by the Hostel. They walked from the hostel to Rodeo beach and learned about habitats and animals along the way. The girls were able to see lots of birds and even otters. At the beach they ate their lunch and headed back.
The girls agreed that they fun and learned a lot of helpful information. Plus they earned the first ever Hostel Patch for this type of a program and received a memebership card for the hostels allowing us to visit other places and receive discounts at other locations around the world.
