Wanted: Media Promotion Volunteers for Girl Scout Grapevine!
Don't you love seeing those Girl Scout stories in the news? Want to see more? Then here's your chance to join the Girl Scout Grapevine and help us increase awareness of Girl Scouting through your local media!
Visibility for Girl Scouts leads to increased membership, volunteers, and financial donors to make our important work possible. And as a member of your community, you are the best at developing relationships with your local media and publicizing your events, awards, product sales, and much more.
We're looking to build a team of outgoing volunteers made up of adults and Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors who want to help spread the word about all the great things the Girl Scouts are doing locally.
We'll provide all the training you need plus media kits that include customizable news releases and public service announcements that you can adapt and distribute to newspapers, radio and television stations in your area.
If you are interested in joining the Girl Scout Grapevine, or if you know of someone who is enthusiastic about spreading the Girl Scout message, please contact Dana Allen, communications manager, at the Oakland office at dallen@girlscoutsnorcal.org, (510) 562-8470 ext. 1601.
