Volunteer in Training Leadership Course

Sun, May. 5, 2013, 9:00am - 4:00pm
Camp Bothin (Fairfax, Marin County)
Open to Girls Grades 9-12
$25.00 per girl

If you have completed the 9th grade and are now looking for a greater role in mentoring younger Girl Scouts in pathways other than camp you will want to become a Girl Scout Volunteer in Training (VIT). As a VIT, you will have the opportunity to directly mentor younger girls through a high quality experience of your own design. Being a VIT gives you an opportunity to share your expertise and knowledge of Girl Scouting with others. This training will help you earn the Volunteer in Training Award Pin for Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts. Working with a younger troop under the guidance of their adult volunteer for three to six months is required before taking the Volunteer in Training Leadership Course. Post work is required, see the Senior or Ambassador Girls Guide to Girl Scouting handbook.

Please Note: 3 to 6 months of pre-work is required to take this course and post work is required to complete the award.
