Camp S'More at One Hundred Fun Hundred
Click here for the schedule of performances, parades, and contest happening at Camp S'More!
The excitement and adventure of the amazing Girl Scout outdoor experience will come to life when you visit Camp S’More! Participate in fun and interesting outdoor activities, connect with staff and volunteers from camps throughout our Council, and discover the history of camps in Northern California. Through eight different exciting activity areas, your own OHFH camp experience awaits! Just look…
Visit three campsites through the decades, from the days of “Margaret” in 1912 to modern times and see what camp life was like at each time. Try your hand at knots, semaphore, morse code, lashing, trail signs, animal identification and more.
The challenge is on! Join the fun and help us lash together giant geo-domes. Or challenge yourself on the Great Adventure Course! Can you traverse the Croc Pit or make it through the Spider’s Web? Come find out with these exciting modern camp experiences and enjoy other adventure activity booths too.
Visit the many camp booths and have fun with arts and crafts, games, and great activities.
Music, singing and dancing, oh my! All the fun of campfire night at camp comes to life at the fairgrounds. Performances and interactive entertainment will be occurring throughout the entire day, including a special performance by Melinda Carroll! Sing-a-longs, improv skits, storytellers and more. Be a star or just come listen!
Make your permanent mark for the 100th anniversary! Drop by the Pavilion and help us create large mosaics that represent the world of camping and the outdoors. Participants can place tiles, stones, and recycled materials in a variety of different scenes. The mosaics will then be hung at Girl Scouts of Northern California camps and properties.
Pictured here are two of the mosaics that volunteers are working hard to create all the pieces to, then participants will be able to place the pieces to help finish all these mosaics. The third picture, is the original design of this mosaic. A very special thanks to Theresa Cearley and Kay Adam who have been working diligently to create this commemorative project!
Travel through time and see the history of camps in Northern California unveiled. Take a break and enjoy a special showing of the original Margaret Movie – “The Golden Eaglet.” Write a special camp wish and drop it off at our Campfire Stage. Your wish will later be burned and added to historical ashes that will be placed in the first campfires of the summer camp sessions. Share the excitement of camp with our next generation and make a donation at the “Keep our Campfires Burning” donation tree!
If you have information about any camps in the Girl Scouts of Northern California jurisdiction that no longer exist, please let us know. An historical timeline is being created to display in the Camp S’more area of OHFH and we want to include as many camps as possible. Please email Nancy Mednick at firstname.lastname@example.org with any information.
Who can beat graham crackers, melted chocolate, and ooey, gooey marshmallow? Maybe you can! Camp S’More is hosting a special county fair style contest to see who has the best S’More. You will receive the link to sign-up for this activity in the Adventure Packet after you register for the event.
Show your camp spirit and march in the Parade of Camps! Participants can enter as individuals or with a group. All you need is an identifier (sign, shirt, banner, etc.) showing your camp name. The parade will start in Camp S’More at 2 p.m. You will receive the link to sign-up for this activity in the Adventure Packet after you register for the event.
You make each camp the special place it is every summer and it is you who will make Camp S'more a magical place at OHFH! We would like your help with lots of different activities!
