The Campaign for Girls
In 2012, Girl Scouts of Northern California launched The Campaign for Girls, our largest-ever fundraising appeal, to raise $20 million to expand leadership opportunities for girls, reach underserved communities, and improve camps and program centers for the next generation of leaders.

Girl Scout Opportunity Fund
Change a Girl's World Today, and She'll Change Ours Tommorow!
You know firsthand how Girl Scouting can make a difference in the lives of girls. Although we strive to keep costs low, not every girl can afford to participate without the help of the Girl Scout Opportunity Fund. Thanks to generous donors, our Opportunity Fund provides financial aid so every girl can experience Girl Scouts. Last year, 4,800 girls were able to join troops, attend camp, purchase uniforms, and even take life-changing field trips because of the Opportunity Fund.
Here's what one grateful parent had to say about her daughter's financial aid from the Opportunity Fund that helped pay for her summer camp:

Madeline, a Senior Girl Scout, fulfilled a lifelong dream thanks to the Girl Scout Opportunity Fund. Madeline traveled to NASA in Cape Canaveral, Florida this year with fellow Girl Scouts from Northern California. Together they got a close-up view of a Space Shuttle launch.
“Since I was a little kid, I have had a passion for astronomy and physics. When I learned about the Girl Scout Space Shuttle opportunity, I was extremely excited – it would be a chance for me to see something that I had been dreaming of for a long time. Standing in a crowd of thousands, I watched as the shuttle lifted off and rocketed toward space. The sheer power of this moment solidified my aspirations of becoming an astronaut!
Without the financial support of the Girl Scout Opportunity Fund, I would not have been able to attend the launch. I have learned so much and gained so many life-changing experiences that I have a deep appreciation for your support.”
