2009 Girl Scouts Person of Distinction
Richard N. Goldman
Richard and late wife Rhoda Goldman fostered their love of nature through their childhood experiences; hiking and camping with their families; and with Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. In April 2009, the world celebrates the 20th Goldman Environmental Prize, recognizing everyday heroes who take action in their communities to make the world a better place. Richard Goldman himself is an everyday hero to us.
Four years ago, Richard shared Girl Scouts’ vision of a “bold audacious” idea – and helped launch Girl Scouts Save the Bay, connecting girls with nature and building the next generation of environmental stewards.
On Tuesday, March 3, 2009 we recognized our
2009 Girl Scouts Person of Distinction
