A one-of-a-kind rustic "wilderness" camp located in the Napa Hills and only 30 minutes away from downtown Napa. Surrounded by 150' douglas firs, madrone, big leaf maple and oaks, The Cove offers an opportunity to unplug and connect with nature. Red tailed hawks, piliated woodpeckers, and ravens are a sample of possible encounters during your stay. With no electricity or traffic, it is an ideal place for backyard adventures by exploring our trails and building skills in campcraft, outdoor cooking, navigation and having just plain fun! A great choice for weekend camping and outdoor trainings to prepare for future wilderness outings!
A hike of 950' up to the summit of Mt. Veeder (2680') will reward you with panoramic views including views of San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate bridge.

Driving time from San Francisco:
West of downtown Napa and approximately an hour and a half drive from San Francisco.
Facilities Overview
Total Camp Capacity: 100 people/night
Each campsite has an outdoor cooking area that includes a campfire circle, picnic tables, barbecue, extra counterspace and food storage. Each unit has its own water and toilets.
Note on Water: Our water is spring fed and does not meet California State requirements for being potable. That said, the water can be treated by using iodine, boiling or filtering. Otherwise, bring potable drinking water and limit water use to washing dishes and cooking.
Shady Rest (25): Shelter, 12x12 tent platform and/or personal tents
Maple Tree (10) : Personal tents
Oak (15) : Cabin with wheel chair ramp and ADA port-a-pottie. Currently, there is No Water available at this site only.
Valley View (30) : 2 shelters and/or personal tents
Redwood (15) : Personal Tents
Madrone (30) : Personal Tents
Fir: Closed for development.

Rate Information
To qualify for the Girl Scout rate, at least 60% of a group must be Girl Scout members registered with GSNorCal.
Please note, our properties are available for rent by Girl Scout and Non-Profit groups only.
Rental Time Period: Day Rental - 10am-4pm / Night Rental - 5pm-9:30am
