Nestled in a wooded canyon in beautiful Marin County, Bothin offers winterized facilities, trail access to open space, an organic garden, a ropes course, archery and close proximity to a variety of environmental and adventure-based resources.
Whether you are seeking acccomodations for site-based programs or offsite adventures, Bothin provides a menu of affordable options. Weekday and weekend rentals of individual buildings or entire camp are available except for summer camp dates.
Shared Use Statement: Bothin is our busiest camp especially during weekends when it regularly accommodates multiple groups who are staying overnight or participating in a day program. Please expect that you will be sharing Bothin with others. On-site Program Offerings:

Camp Bothin is located west of San Rafael, near Fairfax, about 45 minutes from San Francisco.
Facilities Overview
Total Camp Capacity: 250/night
Buildings: Lyman, Manor, Stone House, Little House and The Cottage: Five Individual buildings that house up to 58 people per night.
All buildings include:
- Dormitory rooms and small rooms with single beds and a few bunkbeds. (bedding not provided)
- Living room/meeting room
- Kitchen with basic cooking supplies & refrigeration
- Indoor showers and shared bathrooms
- Fireplace
- Ample parking & bus access
- Hiking trails connecting to Marin Open Space trails
- Large meadow/field
Platforms Tents/Open Air Cabins: For a more rustic option, “Bay Tree” Tents or “Bush” Open Air Cabins are available and have a capacity to sleep up to 24 people per unit. Seasonal availability from May-October.
Dining Hall/Commercial Kitchen: Fully equipped commercial kitchen and dining hall capacity for 225. Food handler's permit required: click here for more info.
Bothin Organic Garden: BOG is an exciting new way to get outdoors at Bothin that grew from our Forever Green Program. BOG offers new opportunities to visitors in environmental stewardship, service learning and curriculum that touch on science, art, healthy eating and sustainable living. Service projects and troop award projects are available for girls scouts and partnership schools or programs. Rate Information
Rental Time Period: Rates cover 4 p.m.-2 p.m.
To qualify for the Girl Scout rate, at least 60% of a group must be Girl Scout members registered with GSNorCal.
Please note, our properties are available for rent by Girl Scout and Non-Profit groups only.
